Solar-Azimuth Economy DIY Kit

Rising utility costs and growing government incentives have caused many to search for the least expensive ways to tap into renewable energy, especially rapidly improving solar technologies. The last few years have also seen a growth in the Do-it-Yourself market. Manufacturers are constantly accommodating the hunger for homeowners to dispense with the professionals and try it on their own. For those with moderate or greater skill, we have developed the SA Economy DIY Kit. All tracker head materials are included along with detailed instructions for assembly. You will still need a rack for the modules, a pole and a concrete base.

The SA Economy Tracker accommodates those with a tight budget. It incorporates the best features of the first generation trackers. The SA Economy incorporates many of the features and innovations Solar-Azimuth currently offers. Some of these features include: advanced bearing design, network-driven manufacturing, easy installation and the ability to mount on a standard pipe pole.  The basic standard frame is easily adapted to a wide variety of panels and can be used for CPV systems and Heliostat reflector systems.

Upgrading to the next-generation Elite will gain all the advantages Solar-Azimuth has to offer including: aesthetically engineered, high-strength, alloy space frame and ultra-precise dual worm drive (worm drive for both azimuth and elevation). While the Economy does provide a good tracker at a lower price, it is an analog system that is not easily networked and does not have all the features that the Elite comes with standard. The DIY tracker kit can be powered by a 12 to 96 volt dc supply.
