Executive Secretary

As the Secretary you will provide administrative support to assigned departments/divisions.  Assist Executive management by providing clerical and receptionist duties as needed.

 

This position will:

               

  Answer phones and direct inquiries to the proper person.  Greet visitors to the company.

  Produce and compose correspondence, reports, proposals, and forms in a neat concise manner using correct grammatical structure and punctuation.

  Keep current itineraries of department employees and ensure all travel accommodations are made. 

  Assist in the preparation of travel and accommodations for all MELCO visitors.

  Distribute incoming mail.

  Assemble and prepare proposals and instruction books for mailing.

  File all documents as required.

  Maintain adequate amount of office supplies and brochures.

  Prepare correspondence and materials for mailing via U.S. postal service, Fed Ex, UPS, etc.

 Support and make recommendations to improve Company policies and procedures.

  Support and assist senior managers, managers and other department personnel as needed.

 

The ideal candidate will possess:

 

  Business school or specialized training in related field, plus a minimum of one year experience in secretarial or word processing operations, or equivalent.

  Working knowledge of PC software and office machines.  Developed skills in MS Office products.

Quality Engineer

As Quality Engineer, you will maintain quality engineering programs, standards and improvements within the organization. Also establish program to evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment and testing, measurement and analytical equipment and facilities. Approve product, process and equipment qualifications. Provide liaison to various regulatory bodies (UL, CSA, TUV, etc.).

Responsibilities include:

-  Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing and evaluation.
-  Devises sampling procedures and designs and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating and reporting quality and reliability data.
-  Develops and implements methods and procedures for disposition of discrepant material and devises methods to assess cost and responsibility.
-  Directs workers engaged in measuring and testing product and tabulating data concerning materials, product or process quality and reliability.
-  Compiles and writes training material and conducts training sessions on quality control activities.
-  Supports Product Engineers and Quality Program Manager with customer interfaces as necessary on quality related issues.
-  Assures data availability and integrity for all quality related data. Consolidates and reports quality results.
-  Initiates corrective action requests as needed and tracks to satisfactory completion.
-  Assists with development and implementation of quality audits.
-  Responsible for developing, applying, revising and maintaining quality standards for processing materials into partially finished or finished products.
-  Designs and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and/or production equipment.
-  Analyzes reports and returned products and recommends corrective action.

Ideal Candidate will Possess:

-  Bachelor degree in related field or equivalent experience.
-  4 years of experience in engineering in the high technology energy industry or related field.
-  Demonstrates advanced functional and technical skills and basic process skills.
-  Demonstrates advanced/thorough knowledge of the function and NPG business.
-  Typically requires skill and troubleshooting, and diagnostics, and overview of the entire test process and the ability to train others.
-  Use of the following tools may be required: Electronic Assembly: color code, component, schematics. May require various PCB operations. Testing: oscilloscope, cable and harness testing, trouble shooting, component testing, logic analyzer. Inspection: bare board, systems, components, cable and harness, microscope, measuring tools. Mechanical & Electrical Tools: taps and dies, alignment tools, measuring tools. Office skills: telephones, data entry, office software to include, word processing, spreadsheet and presentation package.

Welders

Responsibilities include: 

System assembly of our Solar Trackers primarily and occasionally other product lines relating to alternative energy. Most of our systems require welding of various grades of metal to include Stainless Steel and require skills with both Tig and Mig welding techniques.  Weldments range from small to large diameter orbital welds and from short to long straight run welds.  Finishing the welds to an acceptable aesthetic standard is also required.  Crating, and shipping of systems is also included as part of this job description.

Ideal Candidate will Possess:

  1-2 years of TIG/MIG welding experience with stainless sheet steel, pipe, and fittings.
  A willingness to learn our assembly techniquies.
  Experience finishing stainless steel including:  grinding, polishing, and graining.
  A habit of consistent and high quality effort with minimal supervision.
  Highly reliable with a habit of thoroughly completing tasks on a timely basis.
  Excellent mechanical aptitude with an ability to understand systems and read mechanical assembly drawings.
  A working background doing assembly of low tech commercial/industrial equipment with components that include motors, control panels, or related items.
  Skills and experience with a wide range of common shop floor tools and equipment including:  Fork truck operation, drill presses, cutting wheels, nail gun, circular saw, wire cutters, etc.. 
  Previous work experience in an equipment fabrication operation is a plus.

Assemblers

Responsibilities include: 

System assembly of our Solar Trackers primarily and occasionally other product lines relating to alternative energy. Mounting of components including control panels, motors, and other housing units. Control panel assembly and wiring, mechanical assembly of subsystems, and system wiring.  Also; testing, crating, and shipping of systems.

Ideal Candidate will Possess:

•  A habit of consistent and high quality effort with minimal supervision.
•  Highly reliable with a habit of thoroughly completing tasks on a timely basis.
  Excellent electrical and mechanical aptitude with an ability to understand systems and read mechanical assembly and electrical schematic drawings.
  A working background doing assembly of low tech commercial/industrial equipment with components that include motors, control panels, or related items.
  Skills and experience with a wide range of common shop floor tools and equipment including:  Fork truck operation, drill presses, cutting wheels, nail gun, circular saw, wire cutters, etc.. 
  Experience and ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and assembly drawings.
  Experience wiring control panels using generally accepted wiring and labeling techniques.
  Welding skills are a plus.
